Australia’s commercial and tourist hub is blessed with a stunning location in New South Wales.
RLB has always had a special relationship with Sydney. Stanley Jones, founder of RLB’s Sydney office, worked with Joern Utzon and Ove Arup on the original construction of the Sydney Opera House in the 1960s, and RLB remains involved in building upgrades even today.
RLB worked closely with the organisers from the original bid costing stage through to cost management and quantity surveying of all stadiums, including fit out and overlay work for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Building on these strengths RLB has worked on all Olympic games since 2000 and a number of other major sporting events.
The firm’s work on 1 Bligh set new standards for sustainable design in the commercial sector, while its work on Barangaroo shows its specialist cost management, quantity surveying and advisory services expertise for major commercial facilities in action.
RLB’s contribution to strategic roads and rail infrastructure planning and work on major infrastructure planning such as Westconnex, Sydney Light Rail, North West Rail Link, and South West Rail Link is helping to secure the state’s future.
